New & Replacement Roofs
We specialise in replacing old and weathered roofs throughout Scotland. We can renew a roof right back to the frame and replace it with a modern, long-lasting covering, in concrete tile, slate, or a flat roof system, with or without solar panels fitted at the same time.
The most common roof replacements we carry out, for both existing homes and new builds, are concrete tile and slate.
Why Choose One Team for Your Roof and Solar
Most homeowners looking for a new roof and solar panels end up dealing with two separate companies, a roofer and a solar installer. When something goes wrong at the point where the two meet, a leak near a panel, a warranty dispute, delays waiting for one contractor to finish before the other can start, it’s often unclear whose responsibility it actually is. You end up caught in the middle.
We do both. Whether it’s a full roof replacement with solar panels fitted at the same time, or just a new roof on its own, our team handles the whole job. One point of contact, one team on site, one company accountable for the finished result, and no paying for scaffolding and access twice.
★★★★★
“The fact that this company can do a roof replacement and integrated panels in one job was the reason I chose them. Not all companies offer this service, meaning you need to sort out your own roofing company. A positive experience, would recommend.”

Roofing Options
Slate Roof
Installing slate roofs in Scotland offers real advantages, particularly suited to the region’s climate and architectural heritage. Natural slate is highly durable and can last well over a century, well suited to Scotland’s wet, windy weather. It’s naturally water-resistant and impervious to frost damage, reducing the risk of cracking and deterioration even in extreme cold.
Tile Roof
Marley concrete roof tiles offer real advantages for Scotland’s demanding climate. Known for their durability, they withstand frequent rain, strong winds, and temperature fluctuations, and their dense concrete composition resists moisture, reducing the risk of frost damage and extending the roof’s life.
Flat Roof
Rubber (EPDM) and felt roofs are durable, weather-resistant flat roofing options. EPDM rubber offers flexibility and longevity, while felt, made from bitumen layers, provides an affordable, easy-to-install option. Suitable for residential and commercial buildings.
Garage Roof
Options include felt roofing (affordable, bitumen layers), EPDM rubber (durable and flexible), GRP fibreglass (a seamless, watertight finish), and metal roofing (strength and longevity). Each varies in cost, lifespan, and maintenance, we’ll help you choose the right one for your needs.
Roof Replacement with Integrated Solar
Any of the above roof types can be combined with solar panels fitted at the same time, for a seamless finish and no need for a second round of scaffolding. A popular choice for anyone re-roofing and considering solar together.
Storm and Weather Damage Repair
Not every job is a full replacement. If your roof’s been damaged by a storm or is letting water in, we carry out repairs quickly, several of our best reviews are from customers whose roofs we fixed within days of storm damage.

all went well but initially was told that all cables/meter would fit within my current meter cupboard. unfortunately electrician on installation day said it needs to be done outside of it:( also the hole drilled thru the wall for the cable hasnt been sealed at all. i mentioned that to the manager next day and he said someone would come to seal it but nobody showed up:(Posted on Google![]()

New Roof FAQ
Do I need a new roof before I can get solar panels?
Not always. Many roofs are perfectly suitable for solar as they are. If your roof does need replacing, we can fit solar as part of the same job, which is often more cost-effective than doing the two separately.
Can I get just a new roof without solar?
Yes. We carry out roof replacements on their own, solar is entirely optional.
What roofing materials do you use?
Mainly concrete tile and slate for full roof replacements, with EPDM rubber, felt, GRP fibreglass, and metal roofing available for flat and garage roofs. We’ll talk you through the right option for your property and budget.
Is slate a good choice for Scotland?
Yes. Natural slate is highly durable, water-resistant, and copes well with frost, making it well suited to Scotland’s wet, windy climate. Some slate roofs last well over a century with proper maintenance.
How long does a roof replacement take?
Most domestic roof replacements take between 3 and 8 days, depending on the size, material, and complexity of the job. If solar is being fitted at the same time, we’ll give you a combined timeline as part of your survey.
Is it cheaper to do my roof and solar at the same time?
Often, yes. Combining the work can save on scaffolding and access costs compared to doing the two separately with different companies.
Do you repair storm or weather damage?
Yes. If your roof has been damaged by a storm or is letting water in, we can usually respond quickly, several of our customers have had storm damage repaired within 48 hours.
Do you offer a guarantee on roofing work?
Yes, our roofing work comes with a guarantee, we’ll confirm the exact terms as part of your quote.
